Carl Rowe, trumpet, holds a Master of Music degree from Catholic University. He was Principal Trumpet with the United States Marine Corps Band for nineteen years, performing regularly for U.S. Presidents and many heads of state. Mr. Rowe now performs with the Harrisburg Symphony, Baltimore Opera Company, Washington Opera, and Mr. Jack Daniel’s Original Silver Cornet Band.
Brian Strawley, trumpet, attended the Manhattan School of Music and holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Temple University School of Music. Mr. Strawley is Associate Principal Trumpet of the United States Navy Academy Band, and Principal Trumpet of the United States Navy Academy Brass Quintet. He also performs with the Maryland Symphony Orchestra.
Paul Hopkins, horn, holds a Graduate Performance Diploma from the Peabody Conservatory of Music. Mr. Hopkins is a member of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, Maryland Philharmonic and is a session musician at Omega Recording Studios. He also performs regularly with the Baltimore Opera Company, National Philharmonic, and the Delaware Symphony Orchestra.
Wayne Wells, trombone, holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Maryland. Mr. Wells is Principal Trombonist with the Maryland Symphony Orchestra. He was the Trombonist of the Annapolis Brass Quintet, America’s first full-time brass quintet, for thirteen years. Mr. Wells has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, Washington Opera, and Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
Pete Hommel, tuba, holds a Master of Music degree from Catholic University. Mr. Hommel played tuba with the United States Army Band for five years. He has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the Washington Opera. Mr. Hommel is now Music Director and Organist at Saint Anne’s Church in Hagerstown, Maryland. He performs regularly with the Maryland Symphony Orchestra.
